Homemade Churros!

Jump to the recipe Print version

Homemade Churros are my all time favorite dessert or snack! My homemade version is crispy on the outside yet soft and tender on the inside! Sprinkled generously in cinnamon sugar- you won’t be able to eat just one!

They are delicious on their own or dipped in chocolate sauce, raspberry sauce or even cream cheese dip!

If you have never tried a churro before, you are in for one heck of a treat!
Churros are basically a variation of fried dough, but crunchy, then sprinkled generously with cinnamon and sugar for one delicious snack!

Churros are often sold by street vendors in certain areas and are also commonly eaten/seen at carnivals and fair where they are made fresh!

If you have ever visited Spain or anywhere in Latin America, churros can always be bought in cafes for breakfast or as a snack. I know Dunkin Donuts here, were selling them for a time!

Make sure you fry them until they are a golden brown, so don’t come out chewy, you want to pipe them very thin so the outside is perfectly crunchy and the inside is fully cooked 🙂
