I feel like I should have posted these a LONG time ago.. I have had them ready to go for about a month now and I am just now getting to them!

I think the reason it took me so long is that I had SO many amazing photos of these that it was going to take me awhile to pick and choose through them all lol 🙂

The recipe

Red Velvet Dessert Cups with Homemade Whipped Cream!

Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon fine salt
  • 1 teaspoon cocoa powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 tablespoons red food coloring
  • 1 teaspoon white distilled vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

WHIPPED CREAM INGREDIENTS

  • 3 cups heavy cream
  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • 1 ½ tablespoons vanilla extract

Instructions

WHIPPED CREAM DIRECTIONS

  1. In an electric mixer on low, combine the cream, sugar and vanilla.
  2. Once combined, increase the speed of the mixer and beat until stiff peaks form.
  3. Refrigerate leftover whipped cream (if any).
  4. ENJOY!
