Slow Cooker Round Steak and Gravy

Ingredients
- 2 lbs round steak
- 1 medium yellow onion thinly sliced
- 8 oz mushrooms sliced
- 1 packet French onion soup mix dry
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire
- 1 ½ tablespoons cornstarch
Instructions
- Add half of the onions and mushrooms into the bottom of a 6 quart or larger slow cooker.
- Season both sides of the steaks with the dry french onion soup mix and black pepper and place into the slow cooker.
- Add the remaining onions and mushrooms on top of the steaks.
- Pour in the beef broth and worcestershire around the steaks. Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours, or until the meat is tender and cooked through.
- Add ⅓ cup of hot broth from the slow cooker into a small bowl with the cornstarch and whisk until smooth. Pour back into the crockpot and stir to combine. Cook uncovered for 15-20 minutes on high, or until the sauce has thickened to your liking. Adjust with salt and pepper to taste.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot over mashed potatoes or rice, enjoy!
