Banana Shot Variations

There are many fun and flavorful ways to prepare these shots before serving them to family and friends!

  • Chopped nuts – Add some chopped nuts to the whipped cream with the cherries!
  • Caramel drizzle – Along with adding chocolate syrup to your whipped topping, you can also drizzle some caramel over it for an even sweeter taste.
  • Fresh fruit – If you’re a fruit lover and plan to eat these shots right away, you can add a few pieces of fresh banana or strawberry.

Tips for Making Banana Split Shots

  • These shots aren’t kid-friendly because of the liqueur added to them. If you don’t want to add alcohol to the pudding, you can use banana cream pudding mix instead of vanilla pudding mix to get that banana flavor.
  • Make sure you’re using instant pudding mix. This recipe won’t work with the traditional cook and serve option.
  • Feel free to make your own if you don’t want to use pre-made whipped topping. It’s easy to do so by combining two cups of heavy whipping cream with ¼ cup of powdered sugar. Homemade whipped cream is delicious.
