Southern Hummingbird Bundt Cake is a banana-pineapple spiced cake, made from scratch! Packed pull of ripe bananas, fresh pineapple, cinnamon & pecans!

Its so easy to throw together and its always a family favorite, they will be begging for seconds!

Okay, its such a delicious cake, but if you love banana bread– taken to a whole other level of awesome , with some added ingredients, you will LOVE this!

Hummingbird cake is a banana-pineapple spice cake that is ultra popular in the South!

When I first made this for my girlfriends during our weekly lunch hour, they raved over it!

They went CRAZY for it, it was a huge hit! comments like, “Better than any carrot cake ive ever tried!” and even “Better than my Grandmas!” which, no matter what kind of cook Grandma was, is a huge compliment!

Its always fluffy and ultra moist- perfect with morning coffee or after dinner for dessert! 

This cake is a true southern gem that will be in your family for years to come. It is great for potlucks, get togethers or any occasion!

The recipe

Southern Hummingbird Bundt Cake!

  • Servings0

Ingredients

Makes 12 servings.

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 8 ounce can crushed pineapple with liquid
  • 1 cup pecans chopped
  • 2 bananas chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F
  2. Mix the dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl & add in the wet ingredients and stir until well combined. Mix in bananas and pecans.
  3. Spray a bundt pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  4. Pour batter into the pan and bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean.
  5. ENJOY!
